It's here already!  No, not my latest amazon parcel.  Although that was pretty exciting, too.  I'm talking about the final post of my September Christmas Series!!  Wow did that month go by fast.  Meaning, our new baby is due to arrive, like, any time.  EEK!  Okay, before I get sidetracked with onesies and little hats, let's talk about Holiday Leftovers.

As you know, we're expecting our second baby in 6 (and a half) short weeks.  I've also mentioned that I'm doing as much as I can to get ahead, prepare for the holidays, and be organized.  Part of this is freezer meals!  Bonus if they're Crock Pot meals!

While I love having freezer meals stocked at all times, it is even more important now with a baby on the way.  Not to mention I'll have a 17 month old to chase after.

Hubby doesn't mind cooking, but I'd rather have the time he's home spent with our family than in the kitchen.  So, this weekend marked my first round of freezer meals.

Where to Start

A few days ago we picked up our new stand up freezer.  Happy Dance!  I finally got a chance to fill and organize it yesterday.  While doing so, I came across my full bag of bread ends that I'd been ignoring forgetting about for the last while.

When we made the switch to strictly homemade bread, I found I was always left with the end pieces.  We usually cut as little off the ends as possible to maximize the actual loaf for toast, fresh slices, etc.  Not wanting to throw these pieces away, I decided to put them to good use.
